Regents Physics lab scoring guidelines

This is a generic scoring guide that will be applied to your lab reports.
A few labs/activities may not exactly follow this.
•Minimum needed to be acceptable- 5 pts (Minimum grade for a lab)
Name
Title
Purpose
Procedure outline
Neatly organized data table with units
Sample calculations with correct units
All questions/interpretations answered
All graphs completed correctly
Conclusion
•All questions correctly and thoughtfully answered. +2
•Conclusion well written, relates purpose or hypothesis to results, includes supporting statements to your conclusion. Shows you are aware of what the lab was about and what you expected to get for results. + 2
•Conclusion accurately identifies sources of legitimate error and relates the effect of the error on the system. + 1Reminder: Labs turned on or before the due date receive a grade and those turned in late receive a zero (0) but count towards your lab requirement. If a lab is late due to a legal absence (sick, field trip, excused for athletics, or other legitimate absence) need to be made up and turned in as soon as possible (within 5 school days) and marked “late due to absence”
Labs that do not meet the minimum standard may be returned (at my discretion) for correction and can receive half credit when turned back in by the stated deadline (on the lab).
