Dear Ticonderoga Central School District families:
We would like to give you an update on the situation associated with Snapchat that we brought to your attention yesterday.
The district continues to work with law enforcement and support them in their investigation process. At this time, they are working with the North Country Crime Analysis Center, along with the District Attorney’s office to further their investigation.
Currently, it does not appear there was any direct threat to the students or staff of the district; however, we will continue to be vigilant in this instance and any future incidents.
Once again, we would like to ask that you review this issue with your child in terms of appropriate social media use, accepting friend request from unknown sources and the reality of the severe consequences associated with such actions. Please remind your children about the importance of reporting any suspicious or potentially threatening activity to an adult as soon as possible.
The district thanks you for your support in this matter. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the District Office at 518-585-7400, ext. 1135.
Dr. John C. McDonald, Jr., Ed. D.
