Algebra IA
Algebra IBCourse Description and Expectations: This is a full year course, preparing students for the new Integrated Algebra I curriculum. The topics of study follow the new requirements as outlined by the New York State Education Department. The course culminates with all students taking the Integrated Algebra I Regents Exam.
Grading Policy:
Tests are worth 100 points each and are given every couple of weeks. Quizzes are worth 5 points each and are given every day. Homework is worth 2 point each and is given every day. Averages are calculated by adding up the total number of points the student received and dividing it by the total number of points they could have received. The final average will be calculated by taking the total of the 4 marking periods and the regents’ exam and dividing it by 5. Grades will be updated on Power School every day or two.Homework Policy:
Homework is given every day and is due at the beginning of the class. Late homework will not be accepted, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Homework will be made up of worksheets so students should have a 3-ring binder.
