Spanish 5Course Description and Expectation: Spanish 2 prepares the second year language student with increased concentration on vocabulary, intermediate grammar, practice in writing and speaking activities and increased development of speaking and listening skills. The course includes exploration of the culture of the Spanish speaking world and moves students toward comprehension of the Spanish language. The course is designed for the students who have successfully completed Spanish 1 and is essential for all college bound students and for students continuing in education or military service beyond the high school level.

Spanish 3 Regents
Course Description and Expectation: The Spanish 3 course prepares students for the State Exam at the end of the year with emphasis on speaking, listening, reading and writing. Emphasis is also placed on grammar needed for the Regents exam and exploration of Spanish
and Hispanic culture. This course is appropriate for students who have successfully completed Spanish 2 and is essential for all college bound students and for students continuing in education or military service beyond the high school level.Grading Policy:

Course Description and Expectation: The Spanish 103 level 4 class is an advanced course that offers the opportunity for students to receive 4 college credits from SUNY Albany upon successful completion of the course. It is not an AP course and doesnot have an AP exam at the end. This course continues where Spanish 3 left off, applying advanced grammar and literature to a curriculum that includes short stories and selections from Spanish novels and Latin-American literature. The places an emphasis upon speaking, listening, reading and writing in Spanish. Emphasis also placed on advanced grammar and the exploration of Spanish and Hispanic culture. This course is appropriate for students who have successfully completed Spanish 3 Teacher recommendation is required to enter this course. The college registration cost to enroll with SUNY Albany is $120.00.
