The grant was written to:

• Provide teachers with seven hours of staff development on using technology in the classroom through hour long courses once a month.
• Provide for the community 20 hours of basic computer instruction and 20 hours of access/practice time. The community instruction sessions will run from 5:30 PM-6:30 PM, open access/practice time will be from 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM.
  

  Staff and Community instruction sessions will be limited to the first 15 to sign up. The access practice session is on a first come first served basis, we can accomodate a maximum of 30 people at a time.

Registration instructions:
Teachers: There will be a notice put in the school bulletin in PowerSchoolat least 2 weeks before each teacher session (first session at the beginning of the month) describing the course. Contact Bill Dodd at the High School to sign up. Limit is 15 for each session, bring your laptop if you have one.

Community: Check the schedule below and sign up for the class. Each evening will be a new topic. Some topics will be more advanced. Please don't sign up for a date until a topic and level is posted. Sign up by calling the High School office at 585-6661 ext 119.

The level of the course will be stated using the following guidelines:
Basic: For people with little or no experience on the computer. Definitely an introductory lesson.
Intermediate: Assumes you are comfortable starting programs, saving files, using the internet, setting up and checking and writing e-mail. Can copy, paste and do basic word processing operations.
Advanced: More in depth, if you don't know the basics of using the particular software, you will be lost.

Another note: If school was closed the day of a class, the class is cancelled and will be rescheduled.
