COMPUTER COURSES

ELECTIVES WILL BE OFFERED BASED UPON STAFF AVAILABILITY

COMPUTER SCIENCE (Java) & ROBOTICS I & II (CS&R) – (1/2 Unit Each)
First Semester: Covers the basics of object oriented programming and the methodology used in program design using Java as the programming language. Students will learn problem-solving strategies and develop programs relating to math, science, and business. The mechanics of a graphical user interface (GUI) will be introduced and continued in the second semester. Programming a small autonomous robot will also be covered. This course is best suited for motivated juniors and seniors.
Second Semester: This semester extends using a GUI and looks at incorporating Java into web pages and stand along applications as well as more work with a LEGO RCX robot and RoboLab software.
