Superintendent's Message

Superintendent’s Message

Dear Faculty and Staff, Parents/Guardians, and Community Members;

Welcome to the Ticonderoga Central School District website.

It is both a privilege and a point of pride to serve as Superintendent of Schools. After 21 years in the district as a teacher, principal, and now superintendent, my commitment to the students, staff, and families of Ticonderoga has never been stronger. The relationships we’ve built over the years have been the heart of my work, and I am excited to continue growing those connections in the year ahead.

As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, our district is focused on renewed academic goals that challenge and support all learners. We are committed to high expectations and high levels of achievement, while also recognizing the importance of the whole child.

Equally important is our focus on social-emotional learning (SEL). Through our continued work with Sweethearts & Heroes and the Positivity Project, we are actively building a school culture centered on empathy, resilience, kindness, and strong character. These initiatives help us empower students with the tools they need to navigate challenges, support one another, and grow into thoughtful, compassionate individuals.

Throughout the year, I look forward to seeing many of you—whether during the school day or at concerts, plays, athletic events, and community functions. These moments reflect the strength of our district and the value we place on providing rich experiences for all students, both inside and outside the classroom.

Thank you for your continued support, partnership, and belief in our mission. Together, we will continue to engage and inspire a community of learners—today and tomorrow.

Sincerely,

Scott L. Nephew
Superintendent of Schools
